SUDALL - GREENWOOD
The marriage took place in St. Clement's Church,
Spotland, on Wednesday, of Miss Eileen Sandiford Greenwood, the only
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry S Greenwood of 9 Whalley Road, Passmonds,
Rochdale, and Mr. Robert Sudall, the younger son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Sudall of Blackpool. The bride's father is a director of
James Baron and Sons Limited, and she and the bridegroom are both members
of the Rochdale Golf Club. For some years Mr. Sudall resided with his
mother at Buckley Hill Milnrow, and during that time he was an active
member of the Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club. He holds the position of
manager of the Blackpool branch of a Manchester firm of chartered accountants.
Wednesday's ceremony in St Clement's Church - of
which the bride's family have been members for a number of years - was
conducted by the Vicar (the Rev. T.W. Pughe Morgan). Given away by her
father, the bride was attired in a picture dress of ivory moiré,
with full skirt and puff sleeves; she also wore her mother's wedding
veil of Brussels net, which was held at the back with sprays of orange
blossom. Her bouquet was composed of lilies of the valley. Attending
her as brides-maids were two cousins, Miss Edith Greenwood and Miss
Eileen Law, who wore picture frocks of azure blue moiré with
halo hats of moiré and net to tone. They carried posies of variegated
flowers. The bride's mother had a gown of mulberry marocain with sleeves
of chiffon velvet and a fur felt hat to match. Her bouquet consisted
of cream tea roses. Mr. J. Spencer a friend of the bridegroom, acted
as best man with Mr. Harold Young as groomsman.
After a ceremony a reception was held in the Masonic
Temple, Richard Street, where about seventy guests were entertained.
Later Mr. and Mrs. Sudall left for the honeymoon which is being spent
motoring in the South of England. The bride travelled in a black coat
trimmed with Persian lamb, and a halo hat of black velvet. Mr. and Mrs.
Sudall will reside at 532 Lytham Road, Blackpool, after returning from
the honeymoon, have received many presents, amongst them being a cut
glass basket from the employees of the Barchant Mill and a coffee service
and pewter dish from the employees at the Besco Works.

At St. Clements Church, Rochdale to-day, Mr. Robert
Sudall, younger son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sudall, of the
Farmers Arms, Lytham-road, Blackpool, was married to Miss Eileen Greenwood,
only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.S. Greenwood, of Rochdale.
The Vicar, the Rev. Pugh-Morgan, officiated at the
ceremony. Mr. John A. Spencer was the best man, with Mr. Harold Young,
Rochdale, who is the secretary of the Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club,
of which the bridegroom is a member, as the groomsman.
The bridegroom is also a member of the Rochdale Golf
Club, the Rochdale Masonic Club, and the bride is a member of the Rochdale
Golf Club. The reception is being held at the Masonic Hall, Richard-street,
Rochdale.
Mr. and Mrs. Sudall will live in Lytham-road, South
Shore, Blackpool.
