A CHURCH KIRK RESIDENT
The death occured on Monday evening from pneumonia of Mr. Wm. Huddleston,
67, Church-street, Church. Deceased who was in his 62nd year was a native
of Church and held in great esteem. For over 20 years he held the position
of caretaker of Church Kirk day and Sunday School, and was one of the
best known men in the township. He was of a kindly disposition and his
death is much regretted. He leaves a widow, three sons and one daughter,
and the distressof the family has been added to during the week through
one of the sons being seriously ill. The remains of Mr. Huddleston were
interred in the family vault, Church Kirk, with which the family have
been actively associated for a long period, yesterday afternoon. The
service was conducted by the Rev. R. Newman, assisted by the Rev. A.
Cresswell. Messrs. W. Greenwood, headmaster of the school and Mr. Pollard,
former headmaster, were present, and among the floral tributes were
wreaths from Mr. Greenwood, the staff of teachers, and the scholars.

A CHURCH FUNERAL
The remains of the late Mr. William Huddleston, of 67, Beaconsfield-terrace,
Church-street, Church, were interred in the family vault at Church Kirk
yesterday week amid many manifestations of regret. Deceased, who was
in his 62nd year, was a member of a well-known Church family and had
been caretaker of Church Kirk School for over 20 years. Service was
conducted at home and church by the Rev. R. Newman, rector, and the
Rev. A. Cresswell, curate. Floral tributes were forwarded by Mother
